"Laura’s writing is so beautiful and visually descriptive that the reader will lose themselves in this book, blurring the lines between fantasy and reality."

Twitter

Hi fans!

So, I am horrible with updating the whole twitter bit, but I am getting better. I am finally figuring out how the hell to use it. Anyway, please follow me:

How about a little Shadow of the Sun to start the morning out? Great:

My feet dangled from my perch at my mother’s bed. It had a large canopy with wrought iron metal that twisted into beautiful designs that connected over my head. I had a family photo in one hand and the phone in the other. My life felt torn between who I was and who I was becoming. It literally hurt when I thought about my family back in the States, especially Jenna. At the same time, my heart was still trying to put all the pieces back together after losing the life I never had, the life I had almost returned to.

Well, there you have it! Thank you fans for being so fabulous!

Book Cover is IN!!

Hey all!

Finally, the book cover is finished! We are almost through the journey to a final, published book!

Excerpt of Shadow of the Sun:

In the distance, I could see angels beneath the shadows of the encroaching forest. Their golden tears glittered in the small glint of the sun beaming down through a slit in the clouds. No one else seemed to be able to see them, but I could—in all their magnificent glory. They had always possessed a celestial glow, but today it had been taken away. There was a darkness that surrounded them as they mourned the one they had lost. The one I had lost.

Tantalizing

My graphic designer has told me my cover should be finished my Monday evening, or Tuesday. This is very good news. Because I am feeling so dang happy, I am sending out a little excerpt from my book for my fans! I hope it tantalizes your taste buds for what is to come:

Flowing auburn hair glittered against the sun like molten copper. A knife tucked securely into a holster around a leg. Glacial blue eyes turned toward me over a perfect shoulder, staring, cautioning me. Her face was that of an angel; her body was that of a goddess. The tattoos that covered every last inch of her skin was intricately woven in a pattern that seemed to have no beginning or end.
She turned away from me, her short white dress billowing in the wind. It was silk-like, so thin I could see through it. Her tattoos went beyond her arms and legs; they continued snaking up her back to circle around the shape of two arrows crossed together.

Excerpt

I looked through several pages of my book, trying to find an excerpt that I could put on my blog without giving away any of my secrets...and wa-la, I found several pages to post! See above to download the document from Google docs. Before my book is published, I will try to find more to post.

Other news, the front cover design is almost finished. A very talented graphic designer from Croatia is working on it for me. His name is Igor. Check out his work here: Virus69 The interior design is finished, so all that is left is the outside. Looks like things are going well--slow, but well!

Thanks for supporting me!

Introduction

My name is Brianne Villano, of Bevillano Edits, and I am under contract with Laura Kreitzer, author of Shadow of the Sun, part of the Timeless Series of books.  I have contributed editing services for her first book, Shadow of the Sun, and she has graciously hired me to be the editor on her second, Soul Stalker.
Social media is also something I’m very excited about, so I am also implementing a social media strategy for her and learning as much as I can about it so that I might take that knowledge and make her a household name.  Part of the social media plan is to utilize this blog that she has started, which is why I'm introducing myself now.
You can continue to look forward to excerpts from Laura's book, as well as reviews from those who have already read her unpublished novel!
